Stephen J. Mackey
Mr. Mackey graduated “with distinction” from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While at McGeorge, Mr. Mackey was a staff member on the Pacific Law Journal and a member of the Traynor Honor Society.
Mr. Mackey was a partner with Donahue Bates Blakemore & Mackey prior to joining Donahue Davies LLP as a partner. He was awarded and holds an “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell, meeting the highest standards for general ethics and legal ability, as rated by his peers.
Mr. Mackey’s practice emphasizes the defense of general liability, medical and legal malpractice claims and insurance “bad faith” litigation. He also has considerable appellate experience, having handled appeals resulting in published opinions in the California Supreme Court, the First, Third and Fifth District Courts of Appeal, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Mackey was recently admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
